Commvault has made its award-winning Metallic Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) solutions available across the EMEA region. Metallic’s enterprise-grade offerings including Metallic Office 365 Backup & Recovery, Metallic Endpoint Backup & Recovery and Metallic Core Backup & Recovery, are now available in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Sweden. With this expanded availability, customers in these regions are now better able to seamlessly address growing business concerns around cost, scalability, and security as they protect critical data.

For EMEA businesses in particular, Metallic Backup & Recovery has been engineered to offer industry-leading data protection in support of customers’ Data Sovereignty and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance efforts. To be GDPR compliant, companies must meet strict standards for accountability, security, confidentiality, and resilience. Metallic offerings deliver the capability to monitor compliance policies and the amount and types of data stored, providing users with the expertise and capabilities to fulfil stringent GDPR compliance obligations. Through a tight engineering collaboration with Microsoft, Metallic is able to integrate Microsoft Azure's secure and compliant platform offerings and tools that help to address GDPR compliance at a foundational level.

“Commvault is, and has always been, enterprise-ready. We bring this experience, the customer support, the services and the core technology to Metallic, to exactly serve enterprise customers’ requirements,” said Marco Fanizzi (pictured), VP and GM EMEA, Commvault. “With this we are now giving our customers the flexibility to lift and shift their environment from private cloud to the multi-cloud using a simple, compliant, scalable, solution. The sky is the limit for Metallic as the best solution available anywhere in the market.”

Designed for the modern enterprise as a truly cloud-native solution, Metallic uses Azure and Commvault’s Data Protection platform to deliver comprehensive BaaS solutions with single pane of glass management across SaaS, on-prem, public cloud native, and hybrid workloads.

“This year we’ve been seeing more and more threats as cybercrime has grown significantly,” commented Jonathan Bowl, AVP & General Manager UK, Ireland & Nordics, Commvault. “If you’re managing data, you don’t want to leave this to chance. One of the things we’ve been able to do with Metallic is make this data management so simple, and enable IT leaders to obtain all the capability they need with just a few clicks. Commvault’s years of experience moving huge amounts of data to the cloud, combined with this simple solution, helps managers in businesses that have perhaps never used the cloud at all or very little, to have the confidence that they can manage their most crucial asset: their data.”
