The 2010 Storage Awards were
the biggest in their seven-year history, with a record number of categories
– and winners!
The Storage Awards, now in their seventh year, have become THE awards for the
industry and a coveted prize for those who win them. Not only do they recognise
the industry’s most outstanding and innovative people, products and services,
but, most importantly, they are chosen by the readers of Storage magazine and
the general public.
It is this that has made the awards a ‘must have’ for so many organisations.
This year was no exception, with a record number of businesses and individuals
acknowledged as the leaders in their fields.
The importance placed on winning a ‘Storrie’ is clear. As one vendor,
Emulex – winner of the ‘2010 Connectivity Product of the Year’
award – remarked: “Storage magazine is one of the most read IT publications
in the UK and receiving recognition from its readers for product excellence
is an honour.”
And as Storage magazine’s editor Brian Wall points out: “Each year,
the awards serve as a benchmark for the emergence of technology that will no
doubt help to drive change across the industry, and support organisations in
their quest to meet the ever growing demands that storage places upon them.
The 2010 awards demonstrated that the vendor commitment to meet those needs
has never been greater.
“At the same time, I want to thank all of our readers for the wholehearted
way in which they immerse themselves in the awards, year after year. Their votes
are what count, after all. Without them, there could be no awards.”
